COVID-19 affects the terminal capacity - important information about the transport process

Seaport terminals
Imbalances between import and export can lead to capacity bottlenecks or congestion at seaport terminals.
If containers cannot be loaded due to disruptions at these terminals, we reserve the right to invoice booked but unused RailSlots.
ERS/boxXpress have no influence on the loading of containers from seaport to rail terminal and there is no contractual relationship. For this reason, we would like to point out to our customers as contractual partners of the seaport terminals as a precautionary measure to ensure in good time before the booked loading period that the loading can be carried out in accordance with the contract.

Hinterland terminals
Disruptions are also possible in the inland terminals if containers are not accepted promptly at the destination station due to interruptions in the supply chain. Due to limited storage capacities, containers must be accepted within the agreed time limits. Containers that are not picked up on time can be removed from storage or transported back at a charge.

We ask for your understanding for this information and procedure.
If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service, telephone 040.7566.8731.0.

We continue to strive to offer the usual service in the processing of your orders, but would like to draw your attention to the demanding operational conditions in connection with home office, short-time work and teams working in shifts. The earliest possible and complete transmission of your data avoids discrepancies, missed booking deadlines and resulting additional costs.
Therefore, from now on, please send us your complete order data no later than two working days before the planned dispatch date.

Many thanks for your cooperation
