Application and Implementation Manager

Key contact:
All ERS and ERS Railways local and international staff, BoxXpress (Ger), TX Logistics (Ger), Eurogate (Ger), Maersk IT Representative and suppliers (e.g. Greencat, Axxians, etc ).
Application Management
- Creates and executes application and database management work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities when required for testing and implementation of new functionality
- Prepares Change Requests with the organization and the software suppliers and assure proper delivery
- Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
- Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensures applications documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately which includes version control of the application
- Assure proper and detailed understanding of the various work processes in order to understand and guide implementation of new functionality and / or new applications.
- Manages the process mapping activities and translates this in required application functionality
- Manages development of new functionality, test, education and implementation.

- Manages application budget

- Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
- Effectively communicates relevant application information to superiors.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Technical Understanding
- Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
- Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures as well as EDI requirements
- Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
- Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
Leadership

Key requirements
- HBO-level
- Dutch, English and German both verbally and in writing
- Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Capable of working under stress
- Highly self-supportive, takes initiatives and effects decisions
- Plans and organizes information effectively
- Flexible to meet changing requirements and systems developments
- Team player and willing to travel
